our design process

We take the time to understand the nature of each place — its people, landscape, and materials — shaping designs that reflect the character and aspirations of those who inhabit them. Each project grows from its context, translating shared goals into architecture that feels both grounded and elevated, resilient, adaptive, and connected to its environment.

Our work is guided by a Design Ecology, a framework rooted in four interconnected pillars: Sustainability, High Performance, Timber, and Site. Together, they shape how we think, draw, and build.

Sustainability drives our commitment to lasting, low-impact design. High Performance ensures comfort and efficiency in harmony with the climate. Timber connects us to regional craft, renewable resources, and warmth. Through Site, we bridge inside and out — drawing nature, light, and landscape into daily life.

By blending craft and technology through both physical and digital modeling, we create an immersive, collaborative process. Transforming concept into craft and vision into place.

HIGH PERFORMANCE- Our buildings are designed to live well — spaces that breathe, adapt, and endure. Through precision and performance modeling, we create homes that feel effortless in comfort and efficiency, season after season.

TIMBER- Drawn from the forests of the Pacific Northwest, timber is both our craft and our connection to place. Local, renewable, and full of character, it anchors our work in regional tradition while expressing a modern, low-carbon future.

SITE- Each project grows from its place — shaped by light, landscape, and local context. By listening to the site, we design architecture that feels rooted, responsive, and uniquely yours.
